The Catholic Women’s League are very excited announce that they will be launching a beautiful
mission over the next 2 years, called “Living the Beatitudes, Love in Action”. It is a CWL
initiative that will involve every ministry, every family, couple, child, priest and deacon at Divine
Infant Parish. Truly everyone who is a part of our parish will be invited to participate. Our goal is
to learn and live each Beatitude over 2 years.
Our plan is to spend 2 months on each Beatitude; the first month we will learn about the
Beatitude and the second month we will invite you to do activities for yourself, your family and
your community so that you live the Beatitude. Each Beatitude will be led by one of our parish
Ministries. Each week you will be given a simple challenge to execute so that by the end of 2
months you will be living the Beatitude. The Legion of Mary will begin our mission by leading
the First Beatitude, Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of Heaven.
As a prelude to the official launch date, the CWL thought it would be nice to first have you
read Pope Francis’ general reflection on the Gospel of Matthew (5:1-11) (found here and on the Additional Resouces tab)
to learn the broader context of Jesus’ sermon on the mount.
