Dear Parents:
Welcome to an exciting and rewarding faith-filled year for your child and family. Your child in Grade Two, Three or Four is invited to prepare to receive the sacraments of First Reconciliation in February and First Holy Eucharist in April 2024!
INFORMATION:
All information, links and resources can be found on our parish website (www.divineinfant.on.ca) under the link titled "First Communion Resources".
REGISTRATION MEETING:
The preparation begins with a registration meeting in the Parish Hall
Tuesday, October 17th @ 6:30pm OR
Saturday, October 21st @ 10:30am
Students are not required to attend the registration.
BAPTISMAL CERTIFICATE:
Please bring to the registration, a copy of your child's baptismal certificate or you may submit it online on the First Eucharist resources page under the tab "Send Baptismal Certificate”.
• If your child was baptized at Divine Infant Parish we already have the baptismal certificate on file.
• If your child was baptized in another denomination they will need to make a profession of faith before First Reconcilation, please register and include a copy of the baptismal certificate.
• If you wish for your child to be baptized, please attend the registration and indicate "We seek baptism" on the registration form. We will contact you to discuss baptism.
REGISTRATION FEE:
The fee for registration is $35.00. Payment can be made at the registration night by cash or cheque or by visiting the First Eucharist page and using the tab on the left-hand side titled “Registration Fee”. This permits you to submit the fee electronically.
SCHEDULE:
A full schedule for preparation will be distributed at the registration meeting and is also available on the First Eucharist page under the tab entitled “2024 Schedule”
RESOURCES:
A workbook entitled "We prepare for Reconciliation" will be distributed at registration. This workbook is to be completed at home with your family. We will also distribute various items throughout the year to assist with the preparation for First Reconciliation and First Eucharist.
FIRST EUCHARIST 2024:
The First Eucharist Masses are set for April.
