Dear Parents and Students,
Welcome to an exciting and rewarding faith-filled year for your family. Your child in Grade Six is invited to prepare to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation in June 2025.
INFORMATION:

REGISTRATION:
The preparation for Confirmation begins with a meeting in the church on:
Wednesday, November 27th @ 6:30pm OR
Saturday, November 30th @ 10:30am.
Students are welcome to attend the registration meeting however only a parent may register the child for Confirmation.
BAPTISMAL CERTIFICATE:
Please bring to the meeting a copy of your child's baptismal certificate or follow the tab on the Confirmation page under the tab “Send Baptismal Certificate”.
** If your child was baptized at Divine Infant we have the baptismal certificate on file.
REGISTRATION FEE:
The fee for registration is $35.00. Payment can be made at the registration meeting by cash or cheque or by visiting the Confirmation web page to electronically submit payment by following the tab titled “Registration Fee”.
SPONSOR:
Each candidate will require a sponsor, that is one person who is a Catholic in good standing who has received the sacraments of initiation including Confirmation. We require a sponsorship form to be completed.
Please carefully review the criteria and form located on the Confirmation page titled “Confirmation Sponsor”.
SCHEDULE:
A full schedule for preparation is also available on the Confirmation page under the tab entitled “2025 Schedule”.
Father Michael will be meeting with the students in their school classroom to help prepare for Confirmation
throughout the year. These meetings will be arranged through the teachers. As well a retreat will be held at the
parish to assist with the student’s preparation. For those students in the Parish School program, Father Michael
will meet with the candidates at the parish during several evening classes.
As the Archbishop or his delegate will be conferring the sacrament of Confirmation on the students we are
awaiting the Confirmation date from the Archbishop's office, we have asked for a June 2025 date. Once known
we will update and advise you as soon as possible.
