Confirmation 2027

Dear Parents and Students,

Welcome to an exciting and rewarding faith-filled year for your family. Your child in Grade Six is invited to prepare to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation in Spring 2027.

REGISTRATION
The preparation for Confirmation begins with a meeting in the church on:
Wednesday, November 25th @ 6:00pm OR
Saturday, November 28th, @ 10:00am.

Students are welcome to attend the registration meeting however only a parent may register the child for Confirmation.

BAPTISMAL CERTIFICATE
If your child was not baptised at Divine Infant, please bring a copy of their baptismal certificate to the registration. You can also submit a copy to Nathalie at sacramental.coordinator@divineinfantparish.ca

BAPTISM/FIRST EUCHARIST
If your child has not been baptized, was baptized in another Christian faith, or has not received their First Eucharist, please contact Nathalie as soon as possible to register for these sacraments or a Profession of Faith.

REGISTRATION FEE
The registration fee is $35.00. Payment can be made on the night of registration by cash or cheque, or you can pay online on our website under the Sacraments tab or with this QR code:

SPONSOR
Each candidate will require a sponsor. This individual must be a Confirmed Catholic who is at least 16 years of age. A sponsor cannot be a parent.

SCHEDULE
A full schedule for preparation will be distributed at the registration meeting and will be available online under the Confirmation Resources page at the end of the month.

As the Archbishop or his delegate will be conferring the Sacrament of Confirmation upon the students, we are awaiting the Confirmation date from the Diocese. We have asked for a late May/early June date.
